I honestly wasn't sure if the Ducks were going to be the favorites or not. I haven't seen Texas Tech and hear a lot of opinions ranging from them not being as good with the competition they faced to being a dark horse candidate to win it all.
An opening narrative seems to be that Texas Tech has a top defensive line and if they get pressure against Dante like Indiana did this could be a dog fight. On the other hand some folks seem to think that Oregon will get there's in the passing game and Texas Tech kicks a lot of field goals and won't be able to keep up.
I'm excited for the game and certainly like our chances
The Ducks looked great in the first half against JMU. I'm really glad they had this warmup game with the exception that Jordan Davison was carted off the field. would like to do more of a write up on the JMU game, but I'm real busy today so I'll leave it at that. What's your thoughts on the Ducks going into the Quarterfinals?

The Ducks boat raced JMU in the first half, then took their foot off the gas. The result was predictable and met expectations. For UO, it was a chance to keep their muscles toned for the next round instead of dealing with the massive layoff to appease the bowl games and sponsors.
Glad to see this is basically a toss up. TTU has the defense that can punch the Duck offense in the nose like IU did. If TTU can control the LOS and the clock, they have the horses to frustrate and wear down UO. Think the Duck D will show very well and that ST will be the difference. I see 3+ FGs from the Ducks this game and a KR/PR TD that decides the outcome.

TTech has NFL talent along the D-line and inside backers. they will be able to bring pressure, get the ball out of Dante's hands fast, and commit resources to coverage. JMU was easy pickins cuz they couldn't get to Dante bringing 6 or 7, leaving 1-on-1s against Ducks wideouts--with predictable results.
if you liked Dierre Hill, Jr working the perimeter (6 carries, 1 TD, 12 yards per carry, 1 pass reception for 40 yards) and Dante sprinting to the pylon for a TD, then you're in luck. we'll be seeing a lot of both in the Orange Bowl.
Ducks have been better on-the-road all year. defense especially was the decider at Penn St, Iowa, and UW. the current over-under is 52.5, but I'm expecting something more like 20-17. whoever takes best advantage of opportunities in the red zone is gonna win.
