Film of Indy-Orygun

Watching this, you will see Dante becomes a one read QB. We had multiple open dudes he just does not even look at.

Re: Film of Indy-Orygun

My primary criticism of Moore is his lack of urgency.  He can check down, but usually when the line provides the time.  But his ability to move quickly off the primary target to the next one?  Is that an urgency issue or a development issue?  Gotta keep in mind that the Ducks went from Herbert to Nix to Gabriel- guys with a zillion snaps under their belts- to Moore, who at the start of the season had a half-season's worth of snaps.

The first play was a designed play and Moore was not going to check down.  It was a set up play to lure the secondary is to play tighter and allow for Moore to go over the top easier.  Just a good read by the defender...

I don't know if the kid stays or jumps.  If he stays, who is the QB guru to develop him?  Stein wasn't one to begin with, so does Lanning revamp the staff to bring in a QB whisperer?

Thanks for the post...

Re: Film of Indy-Orygun

Dante is 20 years old; won't be 21 until May. I believe Nix and then Gabriel graduated w the most NCAA starts in history (or damn close). Dante had 5-6 starts under Chip at UCLA running a different offense, and then sat all last season.
I've had the sense all year that they want the ball out of his hands quickly. even when we're five TDs ahead and he's still in the game, it's been catch the snap, bounce for two seconds, throw. probably to protect him from injury. they greatly limited his running opportunities as well.

every reason in the world for him to come back for another year. can't imagine him in the pocket for a crummy team like Titans, Jets, or Raiders trailing by three TDs. I think we can manage the NIL, and his return would be a tripwire for some transfers & recruits. here's hoping.

Matayo Uggs and Teitum T coming back. Bear, Pancho. this will be a good team next year. and the schedule will require it.

Re: Film of Indy-Orygun

Everybody already said my sentiments of Dante needing some more time to improve. Like others have said it took Bo some time too. I heard his own SEC fans calling him "Bo Pix" since he often didn't read the D and threw a lot of ill advised passes along with the good ones.

The last I heard Dante so supposedly 50/50 and really weighing his options right now. I truly think it would be his best for his own good. Unless it was one of those rare occasions that a team picked him to sit behind the veteran for a few years.
