Looking back at all of Dan Lanning's losses over 4 years

Here's every loss and what the winning team did that year. When you look at the list and consider this is over 4 years you really have to be proud of what the team has done. A few fans were really upset we didn't get Justin Wilcox. I'm not going to knock him, but can you imagine him doing this the last 4 years? Of course we're all getting impatient on winning it all and getting blown out in playoff games.

Going into this year I remember saying winning 1 playoff game would be a success with all the starters and new players this year. Hopefully the Ducks can put it all together next year. I might make a separate post after the portal transfers wrap up and what the expectations should be next year.

Team and  Score of the Game
Indiana 2026 (22 - 56) Won the National Championship
Indiana 2025 (20 - 30) Won the National Championship
Ohio State 2025 (21 - 41) Won the National Championship
Washington 2023 (31 - 34) Played in the National Championship
Washington 2023 (33 - 36) Played in the National Championship
Oregon State 2022 (34 - 38) 10-3 record for season
Washington 2022 (34 - 37) 11-2 record for season
Georgia 2022 (3 - 49) Won the National Championship

There's not a signal bad team on the list.

Re: Looking back at all of Dan Lanning's losses over 4 years

ah, the irony. the losses to UW and then OSU in 2022 were because Bo injured his leg, and his weapon as a runner was holstered.
Jonathan Smith leveraged his last win over UO to eventually jump to Sparty, where he fell on his face and got fired after two years. and left-behind Oregon State descended to what has to be one of the worst years in history for any sports team.

I was one of those who thought before 2025 that the Ducks might step back to 9-3 or 8-4 this past season, because of all the talent lost to the NFL. a new QB with only 5 starts under his belt, restocked O-line around Pancho, several other question marks. and if it weren't for a handful of plays v Penn St, Iowa, and even UW, that might have come true. Ducks & Lanning done really good this year.

somebody said Oregon is already #1 in a way-early poll for next season. schedule is loaded with good games. good time to be a Duck.
