What's your biggest concern going into 2020? The Offensive Line? The new QB? Development of the skill players? The FG kicker? Maybe it's the new offensive structure & play calling.
For me, it was the O-Line. But as I examined it in more depth, that fear is starting to fade. Oregon's offensive line could be HUGE next year - and extremely talented. As a possibility, I propose:
LT - Penei Sewell - 6'6", 325
LG - Jonah Tauanu'u - 6-5", 335
C - Dawson Jaramillo - 6-5, 311 (Alex Forsyth a possibility here too.)
RG - Malaesala Amuave-Laulu - 6'6", 313
RT - Steven Jones 6'7", 354
They'll average nearly 6'6", 328 pounds. They're HUGE. All of them are former 4 star recruits...so very talented. And of course Sewell is the 2019 Outland trophy winner.
I might be wrong with 1 or maybe even 2 of those guys, but if someone else on the team beats any of these guys out, my point becomes even stronger. I'm no longer that concerned about the line. They'll take a couple of games but they'll gel. And they should eventually be dominant.

I think the offensive line is in great hands as long as Mario Cristobal is at the helm of this program. Some inexperience, but they will learn fast because they are talented ballplayers. And of course being the competitors that they are they will most likely strive to continue the recent tradition of quality line play. I agree with you, I think they'll gel quite quickly. And that bodes well for continuity next season, barring intangibles like excessive injuries.

You always have the injury qualifier, but I agree with you both: I think the O line will gel quickly into a very good unit. I think some of those reported weights might be a little heavier than they actually are at this time. I look forward to seeing them in the Spring game.

On the weights, that's very possibly true. I know a couple of them already had their weights adjusted. Mario wants big linemen, but he's not after a bunch of fatties. He wants guys who are powerful and can run and who will dominate. For example, Laloulu has the potential to dominate, but if he is to see PT in the next couple of years, he'll need to lose at least 60 pounds, imo. I think he's currently over 400 pounds, listed at 390.

Obviously QB is a question mark. We know there's talent, but we don't know how that will translate into on-field play.
I still think OL is the biggest question mark for the start of the season. I assume it will be fine by the end of the season and hopefully sooner, but whether they'll really be ready for the challenge of Ohio State that early in the season is something I'd be concerned about.
Of course, it's possible the defense will win us that game even if the OL/QB situation isn't really rolling yet. It's huge to get the four juniors back. The guys behind them might be fine by the end of the year but I think it would be a struggle early in the year until everything started to come together.
But I think we'll need a competent offense and I'm not sure we'll have it yet.
Not particularly concerned about WR. Enough talent coming back. If we have a scheme that actually keeps the defense off balance so they are open occasionally, it would help.

Great post. Cristobal is a real find. He is turning UO into the best destination for linemen in America. They love him.
I think I am most concerned about tight end. Breeland was like Travis Kelce. We need Cam and Hunter to step up.
With Scott and Faoliu back, d-line will be good. Backers just added two five stars. Secondary is legendary. OL looks great. Williams, JJIII and Pittman will dominate. Backs are awesome. Shough is a gunslinger.
Go Ducks!
