Sad... kind of a gut punch. Rest in peace Kobe

Just tragic. Agree Pete: gone too soon. He was a strong advocate for womens hoops, and had congratulated Sabrina on her accomplishments just the other night. RIP, Kobe.

The womens game has been moved to ESPNnews. Sabrina has yet to come out to warmup. Kobe was a huge supporter of her and this team. Gotta be hurting right now.

They were on their way to a travel game. Kobe, his 13 year old daughter, another parent, and their kid, plus one other I have not heard yet. This just gets more tragic as more news comes out.

Great win by Oregon women! We could probably all learn something from what happened in the pregame. Nice gesture by the two teams.

I would imagine this game was played with some heavy hearts. Great win to be sure.

It's really hard to believe. Hearing about his daughter is was really got me. Kobe really became a great ambassador for the game after his retirement. I wasn't sure about him in his early years on the Lakers and all, but I really ended up respecting his game, work ethic, smarts, and analyses after retirement.
