Yeah. there were thoughts that if that happened, they would try hard to keep Jones$.

Wow. Just wow.
That's an amazing story and testament to an overly egotistical coaching staff. I know Bama's Bama. But they'd better not get cocky to the point that they can just dictate to recruits what, when, where and how. We've seen top programs fade away and struggle to return to prominence. Bama is not above that. I'm not saying it will happen, but just that they need to take a step back and reevaluate how they value the relationship with their recruits. That's something Mario & his team do very well. Everyone is treated like family. And in the long run, that will win out, more often than not.
About Jayson, reading his story has made me a fan. I hope he comes in and dominates...and eventually has a long and prosperous pro career.

Agree. A lousy way to treat a kid, and that story will get around. I applaud the kid for putting it out there. I'm a fan as well, and I think once he gets in the weight room and has some coaching under his belt, he'll be a good one.
