For the love of everything holy, someone put an ice pick through his temple.

I'm streaming the game on my 'puter via the ESPN Spanish language app. don't understand much, but I know who 'El Pato' is.

I can't believe they still have him on. I think he's been a little better this year with staying on topic and not arguing, which is barely an improvement. Still the worst of the worst. Last year I went to the bother of using some audio delay software and a couple of computers to sync up the Eugene radio announcers.

Walton is all over the place, he can be hilarious (sometimes unintentionally) or he can be incomprehensible. Personally I don't mind him.

Disagree. Walton is fantastic.

You can’t mean that. He was talking about everything BUT the damn game tonight. The game was already killing me, but it would have been nice if he actually was watching the game...

1. He get's off topic more than any other announcer by bringing up off the wall topics like volcanoes and rock musicians from decades ago. This is especially obnoxious when big plays and moments in the game are taking place.
2. Even when he's on the topic of basketball it usually involves himself with references of Dr. J. or what not that has absolutely nothing to do with the game.
3. Nobody has a bigger ego and he can't let anything go and constantly pokes his fellow announcers for no good reason.
4. He hardly knows anything about the players on the court let alone their names. He really doesn't know much about college basketball in general.
5 He can't stop talking about the "conference of champions" and makes the Pac 12 look like a laughing stock.
Just my opinion of course and I know a number of other people like him like you do. It just surprises me that they keep someone so unprofessional around when it seems like literally half the fans consider him one of the worst announcers of all time.

Count me in the camp of those who dislike Walton. Goes off on too many tangents. Does a terrible job as color analyst because the play goes on for long stretches where he doesn't really analyze anything, just blabbering on like he's stoned. Maybe he is.
You want to know basic things like who scored the bucket for crying out loud. Really surprised the guy wasn't replaced a long time ago, seeing that he's a hideous game broadcaster.

Might have banged his head on the backboard once too often.

LOLOL...I think you either hate him or love him...count me as the former. I'm just tired of it after so long. I mean, I love the PAC-12, the Grateful Dead, etc...but enough is enough...

As someone who does not get the Pac-12 Network and either can follow the games televised on there on my ESPN app or listen to the radio broadcast...listening to Walton is a breath of fresh air. I am tired of cliche announcers and homer announcers....there is no better advocate for the Conference of Champions than Bill Walton. He does a better job promoting the Pac-12 than Larry Scott, that is for sure.
