Alabama has been rumored to have interest in Aaron Feld to replace Scott Cochran who left for UGA.

You have to love his intensity. I've even heard rival fans give him props.

I've looked all over and can't find anything about Feld except maybe he has been contacted by Bama. It was on a header on Scoopduck, and I don't have a sub. Is that what you're reffering to? Would be a bummer to lose him.

And why wouldn't they? Feld is young and positive and is very good at his job.
Bottom line is that UO/P12 is not in as great a cash position as a handful of SEC programs. UO simply does not have the resources to engage in bidding wars for assistants and minor sports. They did not even enter a bid for Mike White's services when Texas came calling and my guess is that they will let Feld walk if the 'Bama opening bid is upwards of $400-$500k. How UGA "stole" the 'Bama S&C coach was by making him a ST assistant coach on the field that warranted the pay- don't see this happening at UO with Feld, but who knows...?

Yeah, I agree. Bama has way more money: plus, Feld is from that area. Still, I think MC will do all he can to keep him, but I also trust Mario to make another excellant hire.

Yep. He was born in Alabama, so the draw to go back home is often a big one. Notice tho that he was only the 3rd highest paid S&C coach in the PAC-12.

Nothing on Duck Territory to add, other than his wife is from there, too, and he removed “Oregon” from his twitter handle months ago.

Wow! I had never seen her picture before. Considering she's from Alabama will make it even harder for him to turn down a more lucrative offer. Seems like the writing might be on the wall.

If indeed the writing is on the wall, MC is probably already ahead of it. Feld's character seems to be one of bridge building and when/if he does leave it will not be with any angst.
