Marcus to Pats ?

https://www.oregonlive.com/ducks/2020/02/marcus-mariota-drawing-interest-from-the-new-england-patriots-report.html

The Patriots are “showing interest” in the Tennessee Titans quarterback, according to profootballnetwork.com. The report also mentions the Indianapolis Colts as another team that is interested in Mariota, who is expected to become an unrestricted free agent in March.

Marcus, imo, just needs a change. About any change with any decent team. I don't understand why the Titans produced for Tannehill, but not him.

Re: Marcus to Pats ?

I'd be fine with him joining the Pats. I'm not a fan or anything, but recognize the good coaching and opportunity for success there. They might need to add a better receiver or too though.

I didn't really watch the Colts much this last year. A lot of sports talk host on the radio seemed to think they have a lot of talent now. Does anyone know if their O-line is better now though? Wasn't that the criticism with them for a long time that Luck was taking way too many hits from poor protection.

I just hope he can go to a team with a good offensive scheme and decent O-line.

Re: Marcus to Pats ?

I dislike every Boston team so I am hoping he does not go there although the structure and discipline of Belicheat might be a benefit.

My primary concern is that every QB and especially the first one post-Brady(If Brady leaves the Pats) will be under a microscope of the media and obnoxious Boston fans i.e. "Tom always did this..." I fear anything Mariota does would never be good enough. Indianapolils is at least Andrew Luck and a couple of QB's removed from Peyton Manning.

Organizations win in the NFL and I hope Mariota lands with a good one.

That's a good point about being under a microscope and Brady comparisons that I hadn't considered. The North East teams fans are ruthless like you say. At least Philly isn't in the mix, they might be the worst fans around!
