Dr Phil Knight!
This would have been an excellent column had Canzano not kept weaving HIS interpretation of Oregon's attitude about Knight and simply reported the facts sans speculation.
However, rather than make my post about the writer, the focus should be on Phil and Penny Knight. The information presented in it about how the Knight's have spent their money is wonderful. Even helping osu(but I don't expect clueless beaver fans to ever understand it). Nice story too re Bellotti.
I just finished reading Knight's memoir, Shoe Dog, and enjoyed it very much.

Well said DuckReign. The Knights have always been generous and thoughtful people. I don't think the article mentioned it, but they also have given several million to cancer and cardiovascular research at OHSU.
