That said, good article. Three out of four Cali programs are down or in flux, the only solid situation being the one in Berkley. After the Ducks put the pasting on SC in LA last year, there is little doubt about which direction each of these programs is going...

I think SC has been complacent in their hires since Pete Carroll left. I think there's an assumption that they will win simply because they are SC. All the coaches hired since Carroll have been unproven as head coaches.

We all know Orange Army and his band of sock puppets would immediately post something along the lines of Nike paying these players to come to Oregon!Â

I agree, Jeff. I feel like last year was a fantastic, fantastic year. 12 wins, a PAC Natty, and A Rose Bowl win feels ahead of schedule.
But with the state of the conference, we need to capitalize now! Playoffs this year, if the season is a go. UO defense is loaded. Offense is stacked. Just need Shough to answer the bell.
The time is right now. Call squads down. Damn, I wish that ASU game last year hadn't happened. That will be the team to beat from the south this year...
Go Ducks!

We finally got some stars for Perkins. Still 8th on Rivals, but now with a 3.62 average. He got 3 stars and a 5.7 Rivals Rating.

Agree. The Mark Helfrich approach to recruiting.
But they are SC. They will be back. At some juncture. At some level.

Man, that would be sweet indeed. Lots of talent and experience. Now we just need to have a season.

Great stat in this article about how Cristobal has impacted recruiting in California for Oregon compared to Mark Helfraud. Go Ducks!
