Love Ken Goe, and it wouldn't be fall in Oregon if he wasn't out there pumping up those plucky beavs!

Yeah and what a bold prediction to suggest osu is primed to "surprise in 2020." Of course they are...would it be a surprise if they finished last in the North? Had a losing record? No! What possible realistic surprise is there for osu other than winning more games(but possibly still having a losing record) than is being predicted?
Funny how osu loses its starting QB, leading WR and one of its two best RB's and Goe just shrugs his shoulders.
So is he in denial about the value of those players to osu last season or those players(Luton, Hodgins and Pierce) were never that good to begin with?

I'm also getting a bit tired of Goe predicting the end of the world with Covid. It will really ruin his day if the Pac gets through this season in good shape. That just won't fit his narrative.

Yeah, I feel the same way. Covid is not going to be the end of the world although there are lots of people who feel that way. My wife and I, both in our 70's, walk our neighborhood WITHOUT masks and haven't had anyone comment about it. Lots of folks do wear them and that is their right, too. It's the folks that wear them driving their car that makes me shake my head. And my wife and I have not been sick at all this year. We eat healthy and get plenty of rest. And with Mr. Goe pumping up the Beavs, remember, he is a Huskie fan so he naturally wants OSU to put the hurt on the U of O.

I honestly think the majority of those car mask wearers are just scatter-brained. They have other thoughts and forgot to take them off. I doubt they feel like they are going to kill themselves, although they sure look dumb as hell.

I have a client who has a 10-year old son with an immune system issue that a fever can put him on a ventilator..and it has happened before. So their family wears masks EVERYWHERE including in the car. Why? Because in part it helps keep his son calm and lessens his fears. Responsible parenting.
I never pay much attention to people wearing masks in the car or otherwise...it is the people who don't that concern me the most.

That makes total sense, and I applaud them for that! It's why I wear a mask everywhere in public (not personal car or in home, but at YMCA, on campus, at all public stores) --because it isn't a hardship and it eases the anxiety some might have about this pandemic. It really is a small thing to put on a mask, and if it sets a few minds at ease then it's well worth it.
