okay, so that was not a TD, but he caught crap for the drops early in his career. Much like Jason Williams, he has come back to be our best guy. BEST!

Jet Toner has another paper jam!

For the first game in 10-some months, I am impressed. The Ducks look good. The O-line and RB's all look faster to me and I love DJ Johnson at TE.
Anyone who has ever played sports has heard the phrase, "Play to the final horn / buzzer / whistle." Boy did that ever apply to USC today...ASU outplayed them for all but the last 3-4 minutes.
I cannot think of a more annoying announcing tandem than Joel Klatt / Gus Johnson...those guys had the ASU coaching staff as the greatest ever in college football. Just call the game without all the hype.

Congrats to the O-line! Shough made a few minor mistakes, but did really good.
Avalos made some adjustments and clamped down.
How did ASU blow that game? USC dodged a bullet with an onside and 4th in long touchdown.
What a great start to the season!

I'm glad for the Ducks win, but wanted to take a moment to send my thoughts and prayers to David Shaw. As many of you might already know his younger brother is in bad shape with an aggressive case of cancer. I wish him the best.

Shaw is a class act and was more than the equal of Harbaugh when he took over that program. He had Chip’s number when all others were trying... Terrible to be that young (relatively speaking) and to be losing your bro. Lost my only bro before he turned 30 (not an illness) and almost 20 years later the hole is still there. Best to his bro and whole family on healing and peace...

Always hate to hear anybody battling cancer..it took my oldest boy. I wish his family peace.
Some highlights from last night. I thought the team looked very good, and I loved the offense. The O line did great IMO...

think it was Coach Bellotti who said that the most important week of college football is the six days between Game 1 and Game 2. as ragged as expected last night, but lots to like going forward.
love our DBs, esp the corners. they gots skills and tude. so glad Deo opted out of opting out. if you can lock down the wideouts as we did v Utes and Wisky last year, the rest of the D can make plays . . . and create turnovers.
Johnny Three Sticks was a 3-star outta HS with sub-standard speed. his only P5 offers were UO and Sparty. everything else was N. Ariz and Wyoming and Montana and Nevada. he only got the chance to play cuz Ducks were so devoid of quality receivers (Brendan Schooler?). great to see the young man develop and make big catches in big games.
prayers to David Shaw and his family. class guy who, like Whittingham, has become the face of the P-12 over the years and represents well.
