Herbert and Mariota last night was awesome!

It was great watching TWO Oregon QBs out there playing give it their all.

I had hoped that this would happen at some point, hopefully we will see more of it in the future if Mariota can supplant Carr as the starter.

Re: Herbert and Mariota last night was awesome!

I haven't watch the NFL since Colin Kapernick took a knee.  And I have not missed it at all.  Having said that, It would have been a treat to see these guys go at it.  My son texted me (who doesn't miss an NFL game) letting me know it was Mariota vs. Herbert.  I admit I followed the game on my phone but instead was watching the Ducks take on the San Francisco Dons.  The Ducks let a 21 point lead slip to six with a minute to go.  When Will Richardson returns from a thumb injury this team could make some noise in the 'Big Dance'.

That was indeed a treat, and having both play well was special. JH looks like he's having fun out there; nice to see him get rewarded with a win. MM really looked sharp, plus we got to see a dive into the end zone...something we've seen before from him

I will never understand why Tennessee wasted a #2 draft pick on Marcus when all they wanted was for him to stay in the pocket, hand off, and complete dink passes to RBs and TEs. he was able to showcase his skill-set last night. he gives opposing defenses a whole different look for which they have to prepare.

Duck BB needs to find someone who can hit a trey. typical Altman team in December; hustle, defensive intensity, rebounding. and the offense continues to be a work-in-progress.

Shoot, I was busy and missed the game. I didn't know Marcus was going to be playing. I saw the Justin has already tied the record for most rookie TD's!

Carr pulled a groin early on, and in came MM. He may start their next game if Carr can't go.

Remember, MM experienced at Tennessee what JH experienced at Oregon...in MM's first 4-years at Tennessee he had 4 head coaches! Herbert had 3 head coaches in his first 3-years!

It was a difficult game for me to watch. Justin played great!, but I was pulling for Marcus a bit more considering what he went through at Tennessee and because I'm also a Hawaiian Duck. I was hard on Justin during several of his collegiate games, but man... he looks great as a pro.

A busy couple of days for us Ducks: QBU challenge last night in the NFL, PAC-12 FB Championship tonight, then MBB and WBB tomorrow.
Go Ducks!!
