I for one did not see this coming. Jh will be rookie of the year: what a great story.

Congratulations!🎉
Great job on an NFL team with a losing record!
Yet I cannot help but reflect on the last couple of years of Herbert's college career and the endless stream of articles and message board rants questioning whether Cristobal/Arroyo knew what they were doing. How simultaneously they were hurting Oregon and Herbert's NFL potential and draft status. Mainstream media, sports and fanboy websites all piled on Arroyo in particular with accompanying shots at Cristobal.
Still too early in his career but at the moment it appears the Cristobal/Arroyo tandem did a far better job in preparing Herbert(besides going undefeated in the North Division, winning the Pac-12 and Rose Bowl) than any other Oregon head coach/OC did with a Duck QB in this century!

Congratulations to Herbert for being thrust into the starter role early on and fast tracking
his career with impressive numbers. Anybody know how many more games left for the
Chargers so he can rack up even more stats and wins? I like college ball, not pro.
Also, the basement dweller named Luther has got to be cringing with how Justin
has fared. His theme was always that Duck QB's don't do well in the NFL. And he
would be slamming him in the OLive comments inexplicably. And he would certainly
be piling on about Mariota's backup situation in Vegas.

Oh yes: Justin's success no doubt has Luther mumbling incoherently in a closet somewhere
The Chargers have one game left, against the Chiefs.

Which I always found hilarious and replied in kind because Oregon has 2 QB's in the NFL HOF(Van Brocklin and Fouts) and a total of 6 players while osu has a big 0 in both!😂
He would mock Mariota yet the "great" Terry Baker who won the Heisman and Maxwell Award his senior year at osu, was the #1 pick in the 1963 NFL Draft and Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year in 1962, played for the LA Rams from 1963-65 and then the Edmonton Eskimos in 1967 and was done!
He is often viewed as the first "NFL bust!"

Herbs is /blessed/ to be playing for a team w a terrible D. instead of handing off, throwing dink possession passes, and trying to win the game 17-14, Bolts need to score 30 to even have a chance.Â

He's been doing it under pressure with a banged up O-line all year. They don't have much of a running game either.Â
They need to draft Pennei if he's still around. Pennei has even been mentioned as the number 1 pick so I doubt that could happen so let's hope. I really hope Pennei doesn't get stuck on the Jets.
