Last season I never liked KT playing with his hands on the ground so I am elated that DeRuyter recognizes his unique athletic talent and is going to move him around. Given, as noted in the article, Oregon had its lowest sack total since 2004(certainly in part to only 7 games), KT "roaming" should help improve that area.
Also, if I correctly interpret what I read in the article, tackling in previous Spring Camps was substituted for "tag outs"...but that is going to change under DeRuyter...thankfully because Oregon needs improvement in that skill set in my opinion.

DeRuyter has an opportunity to coach the most talent he has ever had in one unit. Coaching KT for his last year (most likely) and what will be the nation's best LB corp has to be one exciting prospect for this guy. Seems like a good dude on top of all this...
