I know tOSU will be tough, but given the talent, I think a 10-2 season is doable. I know we have a new defensive scheme, and a different starting QB, so I guess we'll see.

I'm literally counting down the days until Ducks football and basketball seasons start. As of today, my countdown phone app has 46 days until kickoff and 106 days until tip off. Every year I would expect the Ducks to run the table, only to be left disappointed. As an old dude myself, I now keep things in perspective. I hate to say this but I see Oregon ending up with a 9-3 record. I can only hope that Oregon plays a respectable game against the Buckeyes. The Ducks have never beaten Ohio State and I don't see that happening this time either. Road games against the Huskies and the Utes are going to be very difficult to win, too.
ESPN released it's Football Power Index (FPI) and gave Oregon at 15.4% chance to beat Ohio State. Surprisingly, the Ducks have a 56.9% chance of beating the Huskies and a 58.3% chance of knocking off the Utes.
ESPN's national rankings (based on the FPI) has Oregon at # 12 with a 61.9% chance to make it to the PAC-12 title game.
USC at # 21, with a 46% chance, Washington # 25 and a 30.4% chance, ASU at #29 at a 25.4% chance and Utah # 30 with a 22.5% chance.
As good as Oregon can be in football this season, I'm looking ahead at basketball. Coach Altman seems to start over every year and comes up with some great teams. Go Ducks!

A 10-2 season is certainly possible with the talent on the team. @bedupivi You're 9-3 and the national prediction are probably a good guess. It's really hard to predict and that's what makes football so great.
I've been listening to sports radio and reading some articles about the perception of the Ducks. I'm hearing a lot of people expecting the defense to be really good and the offense a question mark.
The defense has so many talented LB's that they should be really get. Let's hope Tim DeRuyte can shore up the run defense and get more pressure on the QB to make him uncomfortable. They looked good at times last year, but didn't get enough pressure and allowed average running backs to get 200 yards all too often.
The Ducks will get a lot of talented help and depth on the receivers core. The young O-line should be better too. Who and how good the QB is a question mark. The play calling might be one of the biggest concerns on the offensive side of the ball. The QB carousel during the Bowl game was pretty abysmal. They should be able to figure out who the best QB is early on. I'll give Moorehead another chance as last year with being the first in a crazy season is a bad way start. The horrendous and predictable second half offense predates Moorehead. Maybe Cristobal is starting to see the righting on the wall after watching Alabama last year.
I can't wait for the season to start either. Go Ducks!
