Dorlus and Popo dominated the LoS and destroyed the OS interior line, play after play, with a lotta help from Jayson Jones and contris from Sua'ava Poti and Jake Shipley. reminded me of Elijah Qualls and Greg Gaines on those good UW teams from about five years ago.
Baylor barely got the handoff in the backfield before he had to change direction and run laterally. lowest rushing yards in a game this year for him.
Popo is a JR and Dorlus a SO; other three are FR. I LIKE IT. all of these guys need to step up big Friday in Vegas.
kid who played QB for beavs is a gamer. he stood in the collapsing pocket and made throw after throw right on the money. not a runner, but good lateral speed and can throw on the run; those bootleg tosses to TE or drags to WR were deadly on 3rd downs. beavs have a P5-quality QB going forward.
almost 60 degrees the entire day. a few misty drops from time to time. wore one layer the whole time; OS fan a few rows up and back wore shorts. not the late Novembers in Autzen I remember.
AB was on. really liked that he threw balls over the middle leading receivers on crossing routes; haven't see much of that all year--and when I did, wanted to cover my eyes. he only missed five times today; I can think of three deep balls he overthrew, which is where you want to miss.
I watch home & away games w some doc friends. one is a physiatrist--physical & rehabilitative medicine. he swears AB hurt his shoulder in the Stony Brook game and still isn't 100 percent. could be.
other five teams in P-12 North were 25-35 this year. quick math says that's 20 games v each other, so there's 10 somebody-gotta-wins. UW & OS lost to 4-8 Colorado. Cal lost to 1-10 Zona. throw in gimmes v Arkansas State, Hawai'i, Idaho, Portland State, Utah State (whoops, lost), Sacramento State, Nevada (whoops, lost), and Montana (O. M. G.).
Ducks should have a clear path to P-12 North & beyond for the next few years. we have the players, we have the facilities, we have the coin. I can't see Mario leaving anytime soon. maybe Bama. anything else would be a step down.

Nice post, good thoughts.
I'm not sure about "clear path". Oregon State is clearly on the rise and we have to go there next year. They are likely to have at least 8 wins next year, IMO. But yes, we should be favorites. Our team is incredibly young.

Very interesting - thanks for sharing.
Miami might be a step down, but everyone says it's his dream job, and his mother being ill would be a powerful reason to move back home.

Just read this in an article from The Athletic. Never knew AB thought about leaving, and in retrospect I'm surprised it never occurred to me that he might:
Anthony Brown, the first-year starter who was playing in his final home game, put forth one of his best performances of the season, a week after one of his worst. The Boston College grad transfer completed 23 of 28 passes for 275 yards with two touchdowns and rushed for 83 yards and another score, and he thanked his coach afterward for helping him through what has been anything but a linear career path.
“I would say coach Cristobal has kept me from a lot of things: leaving, being down on myself and just a lot of other things,” Brown said. “And I appreciate him for that, and he’s a big part of why I’m still going right now.”

I was amazed the weather there was so nice: on the coast, we had wind and rain all day, tho it was warm. Great observations, OMM...our D really shut down the run game, and all those kids are back next year. AB had his best game, making accurate throws pretty consistently. I loved the balance in the run game..AB tried to run it himself against the Utes...need to see a real commitment to the same offensive philosiphy next week.
