Gleen from it whatever you like.
I know a lot of people don't like Canzano but I have "turned off" websites as it relates to this coaching hire and am sticking with mainstream media.
Websites take 2 approaches...they simply repeat what has already been reported by mainstream media or throw whatever they want at a wall and hope something sticks.
I trust / assume people like Canzano have sources they have cultivated over the years. So when I read a column like this I am getting as best a picture as possible of what is actually happening vs some website suggesting, "They should hire Matt Ruhle because..."

I follow Canzano as well, for the same reasons.
He's been talking a lot about people wanting a return to homegrown stability. I wonder if that ship has sailed? Some are even declaring the era of the destination job is over, citing Brian Kelly to LSU, Lincoln Riley to USC, etc.
And with NIL and the transfer portal, it's probably true of players as well. Even Seven McGee, who grew up dreaming of playing for Oregon and committed what is considered to be super early, tweeted on December 8: "Can y’all stop asking if I’m leaving. I will think on what’s best for my future and decide after the bowl game !"
I'm not saying any of it is wrong or right, and I certainly have no idea what will happen. All we can do is wait!

I've been tuning into Canzo since he has some connections. He's had some decent callers on too. I don't give much thought to his opinions on matters.
He started out the show today with the coaching search as he has been. Not much new on that front. I was hoping for another name or something.
Canzano seems to think you'll know my the end of tomorrow. Not sure if there's anything behind this prediction.
He's having Ken Goe on to talk about the search in a bit.

It irritates me that all of a sudden, canzano acts like he is “in the know” and has sources with “the know” about all things Ducks. Maybe it’s because I don’t read or listen to anything he has to say for the past several years.

He has some ridiculous ideas and opinions, but he generally won’t report anything if it wasn’t confirmed by two credible sources. That said, he was wrong about Cristobal not leaving this cycle.

I find he is much more tolerable on his podcast when he is interviewing people(Cristobal, Kliavkoff, etc) vs his writing. But he is a COLUMNIST not a BEAT WRITER covering a team, so he is paid to have opinions. Plus with the demise of the RG, just not too many people in the state who regularly write and talk about Oregon football in any context.
