Still hating canzano. Still not reading or listening to him.
Edit:
Based on what I gleaned on Twitter, the letter that canzano wrote about was written and sent to R Mullens before the hire of D Lanning, but he did not state that in his opinion piece.

I think the upshot here is someone within, or with connections to, the athletic department needs to be fired, reprimanded or denied access to inside information.
It's one thing to pass on tidbits about who was or wasn't interviewed. Sure, the culprit may have had no bad intentions, and leaked the letter last week, before the search had begun. But 1) This was a private letter, and 2) They gave it to Canzano, of all people. To not realize a journalist - especially Canzano, for crap's sake - might present the letter out of context or time its publication for maximum controversy is naive at best.
My hope is UO will avoid fanning the flames and either act dismissively of Canzano - a petty irritant not worth wasting time on - or simply not acknowledge him at all.

My hope is this is the beginning of the end for Mullens and his absurd hiring skills i.e. let's turn over the most important revenue generating component of our operation which is worth millions of dollars to someone who has no experience.
No corporation would ever do that as in, "Hey you have been a bank teller for a couple of years so now your hired as president of the bank."
Not only that he hired a virtual carbon copy of the previous head coach who lead us to the Alamo Bowl after 4-years with "great recruiting."
The fact a single letter creates so much publicity speaks volumes about the current state of affairs with the Oregon football program.
And his new hire wants his friend to be OC whose team is in the bottom third of the ACC in Total and Scoring Offense.
Canzano and "the letter" are the least of Oregon's problems.
Like the saying, "If you don't know where you are going then any road will take you there."
Mullens wants a National Championship(name one school or coach or AD who doesn't) but he has no clue on how to get there.
