The Oregon head coach, will for at least the next 2-years be working with a majority of players he is inheriting vs he recruited...which is the same for any first-year head coach.

Thankfully what is being inherited is in the top third of the Pac-12. So "retention" is the key initial "recruiting" effort.

However, any declarations to return now speak more to the next deadline of being in or out of the NFL Draft.

Assuming everyone enrolls in school for the next term, the next key marker is Spring Camp. I expect just as will be the case at every school but probably more so with those having first-year head coaches, there will me "movement" on the roster with people transferring in and out. Keeping in mind some may be asked by the coaching staff to move on so as to free up scholarships.

Ditto for Fall Camp. The transfer portal has changed everything.

Therefore I don't get too tied to any "I am staying" or "I am leaving" decisions because there are simply too many variables.
