Re: Q and A with our new commish.

Excellent interview! Thanks for sharing. In reading his answers it confirmed why I am so glad an outside businessman was hired as Commissioner vs someone with an academic career.

It is also clear he cannot simply push a button and instantly change anything(despite the perception of many fans that he can)... ultimately he is an "influencer" to 2 key groups of people...the university leaders who hired him and his peers in the same position. His successes depend on getting people to be in agreement with each other.

He came across to me as open and honest. He inherited some things he can't change, but I like the attitude towards the revenue sports.

Thanks ORG for the link to this article.  I believe it's a real eye-opener as to what goes on behind the scenes.  PAC-12 commissioner George Kliavkoff looks like he has his hands full as he's trying to navigate through a lot of different scenarios and ideas from other commissioners.  We certainly didn't get this type of news from Larry Scott. And because Scott made such a mess of things, it will take some time for Kliavkoff to turn things around.

Clearly a guy with an eye on the best interests of the conference as well as the game itself.
