Hopefully 247 won't mind me borrowing their tracker. This also talks about two kids who won't sign today, but are considering the Ducks...

The Ducks are off to a great start today. Unless you count the 3* committing to Miami who put the Ducks hat on the table even though they never offered! I wish we we're playing Miami next year.
Jordan James looks like the real deal. A great flip for the offense and position of need.
The next big one to watch is Dave Iuli who I believe in announcing at 3:30
With the timing of Mario's departure and a down year for him I pretty much thought this class was a lost cause. Finishing in the top 25 would be a great accomplishment considering the circumstances.

Terrible thing to troll a school like that, but it got clicks... I guess when he eventually hits the portal there is one school of zero interest...
I think a T25 class to come in alongside a pretty decent roster will work just fine. Not holding my breath on any of these players until Fall camp opens, though...

Looks like that's it for now. Coach Lanning started with a class close to 80, and finishes with a #25 class on 247. Not sure about rivals, they don't seem to be updating today. Pretty damn good. He won a head to head with both Riley and Mario.
There are two other kids who are waiting to sign that have Oregon interest. Arlis Boardingham likes the Ducks, but mom and dad like the Gators, so we'll see.
Josh Conerly would be a huge get, but he won't decide till March.

I thought MC pulled some pretty cheesy stuff. He tried to interrupt Iuli's visit here, and may have shot himself in the foot. Then he puts an Oregon hat on the table for that kid when we never offered or got in any kind of contact. I think Lanning and staff will compete with anybody on the recruiting trail. We're over the scholarship limit right now, but there is certain to be more attrition. Go Ducks!!!

Definitely better than I expected! I remember when a top 25 recruiting class would have been considered very good. Now, it's an excellent salvage job after a horrible start.

MC reads the papers and looks at the boards and keeps his ear to the ground with the chatter going on- it is why he is such a great recruiter. But I think it surprised him that when he left there were no tears shed and Duck fans were pretty quick to turn the page. He had players come out against his style and he is having trouble lining up assistants as the word is out that he is a micromanager extreme. His response is to troll the Duck program using recruits, revealing a pettiness that places him in the same company as Willie Taggart. It really sullies his legacy in my mind to a degree, but not as much as it is sullied by the ass whooping they took at Utah and then having it done again two weeks later after making literally no adjustments.
Good on Lanning and staff to get some solid recruiting wins and we will see how this team finally shakes out come August...
