I took a cocktail break on the patio yesterday and poked around whatever Spring camp updates i could get (I do not pay for any subscriptions to any sites). From what I can tell it looks like the program and players have all turned the page and are excited about the direction of the program. The QB room looks to be positive and the defenders are all smiles. Appears we may see an offense similar in scope to the spread option and the defense will be allowed to pin their ears back and get after it... faster tempo on offense means more plays, more plays means more rotating fresh bodies and developing depth. I admit I am already looking at November 19th and the Utah game, hoping to punch that team in the nose...

Absolutely the Utah game
I'm seeing the same thing in terms of attitude of the team. Dilly's offense sounds exciting, and we'll have studs at wideout, so I'm thrilled we might actually throw downfield
Cardwell seems to have put on some muscle..I think he'll be another in a long line of outstanding Oregon running backs.
I think our D will look a lot different, and I'm ready to see what they can do. Go Ducks!!!

Yeah, I'm excited about the vibe too.
The prospect of an exciting offense if huge. From simply an entertainment standpoint, but also the necessity to do well and beat the best teams. The likes of USC is going to be able to score a lot of points and I can't see a ground and pound game being effective. Same with a stout defense like Utah that uses their physicality and smarts to sniff out plays and stop the run. The Buckeyes finally had to use open space and utilize their players superior top end speed to start moving the ball. The Ducks will have to do the same unlike what we saw last year with no adjustments.
Preseason power polls are pretty silly, but I think I saw Utah ranked something like 7th nationally and the 1 team above the Ducks. They earned some respect with how they played the Buckeyes, despite coming up a little bit short.
I'm real excited about the potential run game and defense too. Go Ducks!!!
