James / Freeman rank in Top 100 all-time college RB's

ESPN ranked the greatest all-time RB's in college football... unfortunately it is behind the ESPN+ paywall but OLive was nice enough to do an article on it.

For LaMichael James to be put at #30(Freeman at #63) is awesome...especially when you think of the decades of traditional college football powerhouse teams running over everyone while Oregon wasn't relevant on a national level until the last 30-years or so(Rich Brooks Rose Bowl team kind of put Oregon in the discussion so to speak).

I contend that had James remained in school and played out his eligibility that he would have become the all-time NCAA leading career rusher.  Totally understand that after the injury vs Cal why he chose to leave.  That decision opened up the opportunity for Barner to shine and make as well as get his own shot at the next level (with rings included!)...

I miss those days. James reminded me of Walter Payton. 2000 yards in a college season!
