Mel Renfro too!
Apparently the OLive writer responsible for the article on LaMichael James and Royce Freeman making the Top 100 all-time RB's in college football...
*Did not see the entire list
*Saw it and missed Mel Renfro(#94)
*Doesn't know Oregon football history
Regardless he has posted a corrected version now including Renfro...I am guessing some alert readers let him know of his mistake.
I don't have an ESPN+ subscription so I can't see the list.

I have to admit I didn't know who Mel Renfro is either. A Jefferson High School track star too. I enjoyed reading about him. He had a lengthy career in the NFL.

He had an AWESOME NFL career! Of course, I was a Dallas fan back in the day, so I loved having an Oregon guy on my team. His Duck days were pretty much before my time, but I always loved it when they'd call his name and say he was from Oregon. One of the all-time greats. He was an All-Pro like 6 or 7 times.

Before my time too but the guy might arguably be the greatest all around athlete ever in Oregon...high school and college! Read what he did with Terry Baker(later won Heisman Trophy at Oregon State) as teammates in high school!
The OLive article doesn't do him justice... All-American in football AND track and field; part of a WORLD RECORD 440 yard relay team; played RB and DB at Oregon plus was the backup QB...a long list of accomplishments.
