Does anyone have info on names being discussed for our new offensive coordinator? I'd be curious about any names at all. Would maybe give us some idea of where MC wants to take the offense.

I've been real curious too and wondering the same. I was thinking maybe Mario wanted to focus as much as possible on the Rose Bowl and would go full steam afterwards. The articles last week mentioned phone interviews being done and I've yet to hear who's actually had an interview. I'm also wondering if some NFL coaches and personal are in play and they're waiting to make interviews.

That makes sense. I was just wondering if anybody had heard anything.

I keep hearing Chudzinski and another NFL guy whose name escapes me at present.
Hello, there, ORG. Nice to chat with you again. I am flying out tomorrow to the sunny skies (actually I am first going to Arizona and it is supposed to be rainy). 50 yd line seats for the RB. I am ecstatic.
And thanks, Phil Collins for starting this Board.

Have a great time Hokie. See ya when you return.

I'm surprised we haven't heard more about Oregon's search/replacement for OC. However, I can easily imagine there's more going on than we know and games in the NFL and NCAAF need to conclude first. I think some of us thought Boise State's Zak Hill would be in the running, but ASU snapped him up.

I thought Hill would be a good one. MC hit a HR with Avalos, so not worried, just curious.

MC is keeping this pretty close to the vest. Can't blame him for that. I assume there will be a lot of buzz on this issue by next weekend. MC needs to get this done in front of February signing period. There are some studs with Ducks in their top few. MC knocks it out of the park and it makes it difficult for these guys not to "choose Oregon over..."

Same here, ORG. Not only am I curious, I am also confident. I'm glad to see (at least it appears) Cristobal not rushing a decision to fill the spot. I'm still not sure how I feel about Arroyo coaching in the Rose Bowl. On one hand, I think it's admirable for him to see it through. On the other hand, I'm not the most confident person in his decision making.
Hill would have been good and I'm surprised he chose to go to ASU. When Petersen resigned from Washington, I thought Hill might be headed for Seattle after hearing rumblings that people were unhappy with Hamdam.
Alvanos was a major hire. Now if they can just hold on to him.

I agree, there are some studs still looking at Oregon, but a lot of those are defensive guys. Does anybody know anything about this DT who is committed to Bama, but visiting Oregon?
Still would love to see a Big Ugly on the D line.
I think you're right about MC getting a hire in place before Feb...could make a difference in someone's thinking.

So, interesting. Mark Helfrich released from the Bears today.
No I don’t think it’s likely, or even desirable. Just throwing it out there...😂

Remember when CK was hired, MH was actually Mike's first choice. He had just been hired at Colorado, and didn't want to uproot his family. I wanted Mark to work out, but he didn't, and I doubt MC would consider him this time around.

For one simple reason. Helf is not a strong recruiter. Low energy. He might be a good x's and o's guy but no longer a fit with Oregon's culture.

Helfrich let go by the Bears? Too bad. I don't think he's a great leader. Or even a good one. Which is why I think he will not find himself as a head coach again.
I hope he finds somewhere to land.

I agree. No Helfrich. Helfrich is a good guy, but I feel his success was off of what Chip started. Chip was the HC/OC for our Ducks, and Matt Nagy was the HC/OC for the Bears. As soon as other coaches started catching on to what the Ducks were running, Helfrich could not adjust.
