*See update above, cut with just Aaron was added so just click that one "Talkin' Oregon Football With Aaron Fentress"
Jump to 1:49:27 to hear his outlook for this season. The interview starts at around 1:45:45 and is 20 minutes in its entirety.

It's nice to hear a local and different take on the Ducks from someone who doesn't sugar coat and seemingly isn't a fan. That being said I don't agree with him on everything. @DR, I think you'll like this take.

I've enjoyed reading Aaron's articles in the past. On air he seems a lot more opinionated.

Hear it for yourself, but a few takeaways:

- A lot of unknowns

- 9-3 would be a good year

- Defense was ranked 79th last year and Justin Flowe is a mythical character at this point

- Recruiting rankings don't mean anything now

- Bo Nix is AB 2.0. AB career stats 1 touchdown in 17 throws, Bo Nix 1 touchdown in 27 throws. Chad the host pushes back on Aaron cherry picking one stat that nobody uses to make Bo look bad.

It's an entertaining discussion and worth listening to. It's not all negative on the Ducks and I pulled some hot takes of sorts.

Re: Aaron Fentress Take on Ducks Football

👍A voice of common sense on many but not all issues.

I liked his, "There is a lot of newness" comment and Oregon is "implementing two new systems and that is never seamless."

I have found it somewhat remarkable since Lanning was hired that people love to use recruiting stars as being an indicator of success but dismiss that Lanning has never been a head coach which makes him the least experienced head coach in the Pac-12; Dillingham's numbers at Florida State or the fact he has never called plays on his own as an OC; or Bo Nix with 34 starts has never really improved from one season to the next....all points and more made by Fentress.

I disagreed with Fentress far less than those who believe everything that glitters is gold mindset.

Likewise as I noted recently, I think 1 loss in a non-conference game; 1 conference loss on the road; 1 conference loss at home and / or 1 conference loss due to a rookie head coach miscues is not unreasonable.
