5 takeaways from the game

My feeling is he nails a lot of my issues, but I'm obviously more worried about next week than he is..

Re: 5 takeaways from the game

If playing the defending national champions is an "excuse" as in we are not at their level; then I am certainly not going to celebrate "we are back" by crushing(presumably) Eastern Washington.

Re: 5 takeaways from the game

If the Ducks are up by four scores in the second half, what then?  Do they keep Nix in the game?

Now that the bandaid is ripped off and we can truly see that this is all brand new for this coaching staff, my real question is this:  do you go 6-6 or 7-5 playing transfers who have peaked their development or do you take your lumps and get the youngsters out there who signed a LOI to be at Oregon?  Quite a few fans pay a significant amount of attention to the recruiting aspect and get pumped to see those players eventually take the field.  That is called development and program continuity.  Something on full display as UGA only took in one transfer this offseason.  Oregon can get there and I am willing to see that aspect play out along with the coaches learning to coach better.  Rode this out in the 90’s as Bellotti built his program and ok now to see the same.  I think 🤔
