Re: Nice article about yesterday

Before the season I heard a number of sports analyst quest the Ducks strategy of booking top talent non-conference ideas. The idea being that the easiest path to the playoffs is booking cupcake games and only playing 9 conference games more that matter too.

As a fan I like that the Ducks are playing good teams out of conference. Who would want to see say Portland State in place of Georgia and Stony Brook in place of BYU?

Even if you run with the idea of winning out in the Pac you still might not get a playoff spot.

Last year the gamble paid of playing the Buckeyes early.

Going forward perhaps booking the top team in the country is not prudent, but I think the game was booked Mario's first year? Georgia was good, but not like they are now as they for a long time would always fall short to the likes of Alabama.

The Ducks are going into conference play 2-1 after playing 2 really good teams.

More importantly than anything I would love to see the Ducks finish strong and improve as the season goes along. Under the Ducks the team would regress through the season. The team looked checked out playing Utah last year. Tyler started well a couple years back and completely went downhill. Even in our Rose Bowl win in 2020 the game was barely won with Herbert having to use his feet instead of his top talent NFL arm.

This could be a rollercoaster so we'll just have to hang on for now. There's a lot to be excited about moving forward though.
