Brian Kelly doesn't even make my Top 25 of head coaches I like but I agree with him on this point.

It is beyond ridiculous. Plays in which there is not even a penalty flag thrown are reviewed for targeting.

Between instant replay and targeting...it is "tackle football" but nobody can touch anyone. Maybe it is time to go to flag football?

I still contend, the fun of college football is being ruined not by NIL, transfer portal, mega conferences, huge head coaches salaries, etc. but by officiating or the lack thereof, targeting reviews and instant replay.

As Kelly notes, if we are getting down to milliseconds to decide a call...that is not good.
