It's a very pleasant partly sunny day in the upper 60's at Memorial Stadium.
The Ducks are favored by 17 1/2 against the 3-4 Cal Bears.
Several NFL team scouts are in attendance.

The Ducks are going to be in for a tough one.
In some ways I think it will be good for them to try to overcome situations where things aren't going their way i.e. failed 4th, dropped passes etc. Same with needing to rely on the defense at times.

Ducks score to end the half and score to open it..got off to a sluggish start but rolling now.

That looked like a solid tackle. Damn...

Yeah, that's the way they seem to be calling them this year. Not sure how you're supposed to teach tackling and play aggressively on defense now days. He'll have to miss the first half of the next game I believe.

Did anybody hear how bad Chase Cota is hurt?

The announcer gets faked out every single Bo touchdown

Dennis Dixon used to fake out the camera people all the time too. He was real sneaky with hiding the ball after the snap.

Spent the day cleaning up the yard after the first Fall storms blew thru, so I decided to catch highlights. Looked like the Ducks are solid on both sides with the exception of the secondary. Defense will come in time with DL….
All I gotta say is that Bo has to stay upright or this falls apart. Reminds me of the Dixon season when Leaf filled in for him after a magical run to what could have been a Heisman and BCS champ appearance…. I know you only get one shot at life, so you play every down like it’s potentially your last, but I’ll put this out there- do you start pulling back on the QB options a bit and save Bo from some hits or do you go for broke with the next man up mantra?

Been a while since I posted to this site, appreciate the outreach by Phil.
Ducks looked like they initially missed their wake-up call at the team hotel as they sure seemed sluggish. Yet you could sure see the talent disparity and knew it was a matter of time.
Bo Nix needs more Heisman talk, he is amazing. Never thought he would pan out to be such a star. Curious to see what the pro scouts think of him. Does he have one more year of eligibility? I saw this bantered around on another website and it seemed he did.
Hope everyone is enjoying the season and has a safe Halloween 🎃

Welcome back!
According to this CBS Sports article "Nix arrives at Oregon along with with two years of eligibility remaining along with new coach Dan Lanning"

I believe when his transfer was first announced Nix technically had 2-years of eligibility remaining.
Yet as this article notes, he graduated with a degree from Auburn last year and I think that neutralizes his situation down to this one year...but I am not knowledgeable about all related rules.
Regardless, I think it is reasonable to assume if he continues with the same year he has had so far...he is entering the NFL Draft...he won't come back for another year of college football and risk injury.
Plus he is married...she was an Auburn cheerleader and her name is Izzy Smoke! Great name!
