Future Oregon opponents - osu and uw - what do you think?

Based on what I saw last night knowing things could change by the time we play osu...

1) Both teams are improved over last season.

2) The uw looks more dangerous relative to Oregon's pass defense because of Penix Jr. He is not the leading passer in the NATION because of luck. I actually wouldn't mind wet weather against the uw because Oregon's run game is far superior to the uw i.e. #1 in the Pac-12 vs #9.

3) Martinez the 3* freshman RB for osu looks like the real deal...he runs straight and fast.

4) Jonathan Smith has done a wonderful job in rebuilding osu from when he took over. Because they don't recruit elite 4* and 5* talent...it has taken the 5-years to get where they are at today.

But the guy needs to stop the gambling mentality like he did as a first-year head coach. Jonathan, you have a good, competitive team...I can understand going for it on 4th and 1 but 4th and 3..
kick the FG...yes it was windy but that was basically a PAT type FG.

Also he seems reckless as in unnecessary use of timeouts.

After Colorado, Oregon's last 3 games are going to really test the Ducks🙏

Gotta get this out of the way...F*ck the Huskies and Screw the beavers!
There, I feel better. I would say Penix has put up big numbers against less than tough competition. They lost at UCLA, and I really feel if the Ducks pack Autzen, and it's rocking, I do not see the huskies staying with us. As for little brother, no doubt JS was a great hire, but he needs a QB. I agree with you on his gambling..take the points, especially early. I am actually more concerned with beavis, but again I just don't see this coaching staff allowing a letdown, and we should beat them at their place, which is only using half the seating this year due to the construction.

Yep. Smith blew it on not taking the 3 points. Personally thought he should've taken BOTH field goals. It cost them the game.

Feel really confident against UW at home. And after watching more Beavs lately, they just have woeful QB play. If they had even a decent QB they would be a very very good team. I'm always a bit nervous when we play the Beavs. Especially up in Cornvalley. But I feel confident in that game as well. Might as well throw Utah in there too. I'm fully expecting an 11-1 Oregon to play for the conference title. THAT game will be much tougher than our last 3.

I too feel confident, tho if we win out, we'll be the first team to do so since we expanded to 12 teams. Why not..we were the last team to run the table in the PAC-10
