Bennett Williams is a 2 star safety by Rivals and a 3 star by 247. His reputation and ranking out of HS far exceed that. He was an All-American in HS. His video is very impressive.
Trey Benson runs (I believe) a 4.45 - 40 and weighs 215. He cuts and sees the field very well...makes quick decisions. He beats defenders regularly. How is he not a high 4 star? And yes, I do realize a highlight video isn't always a true representation of work.
On the other hand, I watched parts of the Under Armor game today. Robby Ashford didn't look that great. He's clearly a very good athlete but he seemed a bit lost to me. Anyone else see something I didn't? If I'm right, the 2020 QB battle will really come down to Shough vs Butterfield. And it wouldn't shock me to see Ashford turn to baseball.
Finally, a bold prediction. Laloulu, currently the lowest ranked member of the 2020 Duck's class, will become an offensive line standout.

I really like benson. He has a chance to be a Freeman if he continues to put on muscle. Coach Feld will mold him into a sledgehammer.
I agree Ashford did not look good, but remember he lost a lot of this season with an injury.
Laloulu needs work, but no better staff to mold him. Hoping you're right on that one: he's a big kid.

There are a couple more to come I believe. Really hoping for that man mountain of a DT from Bama. MC might hold a couple of scholarships for the transfer portal.

For what it's worth, ESPN ranks Bennett Williams a 4**** recruit.

I wonder if that's just a carryover from his HS ranking. Regardless, at least they got it right.

Remember Devon Williams doesn't count in the class rankings, but he was a very high four star last year, #40 nationwide according to the 247 composite. If you include him the class is a lot better than it looks.
