What a great hire for Colorado! Good for them and the Pac-12.
I have no doubt Sanders has been offered jobs at higher profile schools in better situations than Colorado...so I applaud him for taking on a program in need of a significant rebuild.
He is going to be a recruiting magnet and every Pac-12 head coach is going to feel his presence.

This seems like a strange fit, but it will definitely improve the Buff's recruiting. I really thought he'd stay in the south. Gonna be interesting.

My thoughts exactly. Didn't think there was a chance in heck he would take that job. I can't wrap my head around it.
On the bright side, it should help Colorado in the short term and also create some more interest and eyeballs on the Pac12.

As Wilner notes...
"This is a spectacular hire in every sense, folks: The "Coach Prime" experiment could flourish or flop, but it will be absolutely riveting to watch."
Whenever a new coach gets hired, I always go to message boards and read the often hilarious reactions. Hilarious because and this was no different than other hires...apparently Sanders is woefully unable to make his own career choices but anonymous folks around the country have it all figured out i.e. He is stupid, an idiot, "the Pac-12 is not the SWAC"(duh...that analysis was "deep"😂)...it is endless and 90% is less than complimentary.🙄
I trust Deion knows better than anyone else what he wants to do in his life.
Also I liked what he told his team, "In coaching you either get elevated or terminated." So he made the choice to elevate himself. Welcome to the Pac-12!

At his presser he tells the team to hit the portal , and he says his kid will be the QB. Off to a rousing start
I do expect he'll hit the portal hard, tho right now Colorado has some rules about transfering credits which they'll have to change. Sounds like a no BS kind of guy...this will absolutely be interesting, and it will indeed shine some light on the PAC

Deion is hiring Willie Taggart. Not sure what position he will coach. Dude can certainly recruit.

Looks like Zimmer for the DC. Sanders surrounding himself with experience.

Hiring Kent State head coach, Sean Lewis as the OC...as per the article, Kent State had the fastest offense in the Group of 5 and the 4th fastest in college football...in terms
of time between snaps.
Also as noted, the opponents will come to Boulder at high altitude and Lewis will run his very up tempo offense and...you can guess!
Sanders is 55-years old with barely any coaching experiences but the guy seems acutely aware of his strengths and weaknesses if his hiring process is an accurate indicator?
My initial impressions of him in his new job reflects one of my favorite leadership quotes: The conductor doesn't play in the orchestra😁 (an approach Mario Cristobal has never grasped to this day)
Sanders loves being Prime but it sure doesn't feel like that is going to get in the way of being "the conductor" of Colorado football.
