Re: Speculation on next years QB

I wonder if any, and how many, make these visits  hoping they’ll be offered more NIL money to stay?

If it came down to Moore deciding to choose the Ducks based on whether Bo returns which would you choose? It may not matter either way, but as DR pointed out that could be a big selling point.

I would take Nix coming back in a heartbeat!!!

We've seen how some 5 stars turn out right?

Also, it may be the way it is these days, but a guy that is "solid" with us as a sign in a few weeks going to UCLA and posing in their gear just rrrrrrrrrrrreally pisses me off.

This plus the cryptic Comments on social media and the teasers regarding their commitment announcements.  That’s when I take a step back and remember they’re teenagers, and there’s got to be a few who get a kick out of making those cryptic comments and watching the commenters freak out.  The “prank call” mentality, if you will.

Re: Speculation on next years QB

In the end I think we'll see Moore sign with Oregon, tho I'm hoping he'll have Bo as a mentor. Very few frosh can start at a P5 school. Still, you never know what those in his circle are saying. Bo coming back would benefit all concerned, imo.

Re: Speculation on next years QB

@WoodburnDuck...EXACTLY! They are in high school. Yet the whole recruiting culture with kids having "press conferences," colleges taking glam photos of them in their gear, social media, etc. has turned the process into a worship fest of teenage boys / young men.

I never read a bio of any recruit, their stats, check them out on social media, etc because the hype is irrelevant unless it happens at the next level.

Every program has legendary stories of high profile recruits who bombed and lowly rated players who exceeded expectations far beyond what was anticipated and became "stars."

Transfers are a different matter because they are already at that level.

They’re getting the “child star” treatment, especially so now with NIL, and as we’ve seen with child stars over the years, some will Han do le it well and others won’t.

I’m sure it’s always been that w as y y to o an extent, but now it’s out there 24/7 and you can’t ignore it 100% if you want to follow football.
