I am still in disbelief BUT a good disbelief vs a bad disbelief after the osu game.
Otherwise...
1) First and foremost congratulations to the team and especially those who have played their final game as an Oregon Duck.
2) Speaking of, the Transfer Portal makes you kind of "forget" about players still on the team who are graduating. Oregon is going to lose a bunch more of those...next year's roster is going to be an interesting follow.
3) I don't know how / why Oregon was favored by so much over UNC??? They won their ACC Division and played for the ACC Conference Championship. osu pounded a hapless .500 Florida team that had a losing conference record...Oregon played and beat a "real" team in UNC.
4) To that point, Drake Maye is as good as any QB I watched this year...makes plays with his head, arm and legs.
5) I was critical of Nix's play or lack thereof in the 3rd quarter...as I posted on the game chat. In hindsight, I realize it was a coaching problem?!?
Specifically Oregon ran the ball very well in the first half. UNC CLEARLY adjusted their defense accordingly in the second half. Oregon didn't change a thing offensively until they basically had to do so i.e. throwing the ball DEEP which, as every football fan knows, loosens up the defense...plus you get a catch or two; a PI penalty or two and the game flow and energy changes INSTANTLY.
Doing so is ultimately what helped Oregon get into position to win the game but it should have started early in the 3rd quarter.
Go 10-3 Ducks!

Gotta remember we didn't have our OC, and yes, playcalling was not good, and at first no adjustments in the second half. Our D did make some good half-time adjustments and shut down Maye's running. I will agree the spread was nonsense. Bo obviously wasn't 100%, so his legs weren't an asset for us, but Bucky really ran well. I wonder if either James or Dowdell becomes the second back, and Noah moves to the slot.
Finishing 10-3 in Lannings rookie year is still pretty good.
Gonna be some transfers now, but Funa coming back really helps on D.
No time for the coaches to enjoy the win: portal and prep recruiting is ongoing!

UNC had exactly the same dynamic...a GA coaching the OL; a guy calling plays who had never done so previously...

Good points.
I complained about the bowl games being so bad before the start and things delightfully turned out otherwise.
Our last Rose Bowl win with Herbert was only more exciting just because the stakes were higher. Looking back before that I sure enjoyed the Ducks beating up on FSU for the playoff game. The 2012 Rose Bowl comes to mind as one of the better bowl games in recent memory. Again, the stakes weren't as high, however this was a really exciting game.
It's nice to see 2 top QB's playing in a bowl game and returning next year. A trade off of sorts for all the problems NIL creates.
Nix seemed still hurt and moving towards spring I sure hope this isn't a problem whatever injury he sustained. As much as I like our new QB as DR mentioned who's going to be a solid back up next year?
For the way the D played all year and missing players I can't complain overall. The play calling was certainly lackluster on the O and luckily some good plays were called down the stretch.
The Pac is off to a really good start in the bowl season.
