Some similarities with what Crepea wrote about the Holiday Bowl.

It just feels like there are too many dots not connecting...back to back years of a high number of  players leaving for the Transfer Portal; Lanning being a "defensive coach" but Oregon's defense was wildly inconsistent; no improvement in Special Teams play...I believe these are primarily coaching issues.

Part of it begins with Lanning's hiring skills / preferences with assistant coaches. BUT it is not all on Lanning...I have started wondering if players generally like him as the head coach but don't like or feel they are being "coached up" well by the assistants / their position coach?  Which in turn could impact their playing time?🤔
