He was the real deal. If he stayed his senior year he had a legitimate shot at finishing as the #1 career rusher in yardage in NCAA history. Class act and one of the only pieces of autographed paraphanalia I own is a signed football from him.

one tough little hombre. put his dislocated elbow back into the socket himself right on the field in a late-night game v Cal. was ready to go the next week.
Tyson Alger's long interview w former UO running backs coach Gary Campbell. LMJ almost quit and went home. Coach Camp talked him into staying.

Best description of him I ever read(cannot recall the source) was...
"Runs exceptionally well in very tight spaces."
I cannot even begin to count the number of times he seemed to "disappear" into the LOS and then suddenly emerge...amazing yards after contact runner.
More than deserves this honor.

His athleticism reminds me some of the first player I can remember as child which is Walter Payton.
I'm glad he's getting the honor he deserves.
DL brought him in for the spring game and hopefully he'll be more involved with the Ducks in the future. I believe LaMichael keeps pretty busy running a few businesses he manages as a franchise owner.
