Re: 2023 Football Schedule

I was wondering the same thing as Canzano...would the remaining Pac-10 AD's stick it to USC and UCLA?

They didn't.

3 HUGE games for Lanning's game / field / score management...USC, uw and osu.

I also think his opinions about how USC and UCLA will be treated by the Little Ten is more right than wrong and should be a warning for Oregon faithful who think going to that conference is a good thing.

Re: 2023 Football Schedule

I would recommend caution about over-consumption of AngerTainment. it's distorted focus on individual personalities rather than perspective is designed to provoke a simple emotional response rather than to educate. it offers the unwitting consumer a villain, not a reasoned analysis.

like it or not, this is a multi-million dollar business, not an episode of 'Real Housewives'. lots of reasons for the P-10 to maintain good relations with SC and UCLA, like future inter-conference games w Cal, Tree, or other P-10 opponents. in all sports.

'blow up 100 years of tradition' ? ? nah, the Pac-8 was formed in 1968. Sparky & Zona came aboard in 1978 (Zona was contracted to the WAC at the time). Utah and Buffs came aboard ?2011? (Colorado was contracted to the Big 12 at the time.)
take some time on Google or WikiP to review the historical permutations of what became the Pac-12 'Conference of Champions' (University of Idaho!?!).

I'm personally looking forward to three meaningful games in Autzen in the span of 20 days. was talking w my UO AD concierge a few weeks ago about getting another parking spot to go with our existing tailgate setup. she said season-tic renewals are going gangbusters and inquiries from potential new buyers are through the roof.
peeps be excited.

Re: 2023 Football Schedule

The Ducks will have some time to get in gear. That's about the easiest start to a schedule I can remember assuming Colorado doesn't turn things around instantly.

@Washington @Utah and USC are the most challenging at first glance. Did we lose a big name out of conference game? Our OOC games are what the supposed experts recommend the Ducks book instead of the likes of Georgia like last year.

I'm definitely going to try to make it to a game this coming season.

Leave it to the Pac12 to bend over and say, "thank you sir, may I have another?"

What would you expect from a historically weak conference from a leadership standpoint?

Pac12 should've hammered SC and UCLA with the schedule. I see no value in giving them any quarter whatsoever. LA has always stuck their nose up at their conference brethren. Pac12 let them off the hook after being shot in the back.

(And listening to the sniveling and whining coming from SUC about this year's schedule, just chaps my arse to no end.)

And yet I’ve seen an article or too from the USC writers claiming how they got screwed over. Just because they have to play Notre Dame and Utah in consecutive games 😂.

@Texas Tech(former Oregon QB Tyler Shough) will be a challenge. Last season they beat Texas, Houston, lost to TCU by 10, Oklahoma and destroyed Ole Miss in a bowl game. Going to Lubbock will not be a sure victory by any means.

Ditto with osu... especially if DJ Uiagalelei does well at the QB position.

@ASU with Dillingham may be one of those games with a lot of emotion on both sides of the ball.

Stanford will be an interesting watch having hired Troy Taylor as the HC and the jaw dropping offensive numbers Sacramento State put up.

The biggest unknown for Oregon...to write something of zero surprise...is what will the defense look like?
