Williams to Transfer Portal
These situations are always mind boggling to me...in part due to having no inside information.
Williams leads the nation in consecutive years in junior college scoring; comes to Oregon and barely plays!?!
Bad attitude? Lazy? Altman didn't give him an opportunity?
On the surface I would say with the small number of players on a basketball team...if you are bringing in high school recruits; transfers and junior college players to join an existing roster...too many variables.
Juco players were the original transfer portal but the level of competition is questionable.
If I had to choose one or the other, I would take a D1 transfer portal player over a juco player.

Yes, he was the leading scorer in ALL JC I believe. But Altman couldn't find a spot for him with all the struggles this year?? And NO, he did not have a bad attitude or lazy. I heard a radio interview with Altman and he went out of his way to say what a GREAT attitude Williams has, works hard in practice, is always ready to go and get this: "Is ALL about the TEAM and is a TEAM player".
Are you effing kidding me Dana???? All the bullshit about guys not working hard enough and a guy like this never sees the floor!!??
Well now he's gone. I see we've already signed another JC kid that doesn't have near the cred Williams did. I don't see how that makes us better.
I'm personally sick of Danas bullshit. Next year will be make or break for his tenure here.
