Welcome to The Duck Room. We're an old school Oregon Ducks fan site dedicated to our University of Oregon Ducks sports. This community is centered around sharing updates, news stories, and opinions, and thoughts related to Oregon Ducks sports.
One of the best things besides the great users we have on here is that The Duck Room is completely free. Always has been and always will be. Don't be shy as everyone can post your latest thoughts on the Ducks. Just see the few simple rules below.
1. Common sense community standards apply.
2. Posts of political nature of post that would lead to such matters do not belong here, there's a whole internet for that.
3. Fans of different teams are allowed here as are difference of options, however trolling is not tolerated.
4. We have to abide by copyright laws, which means quoting an articles story and posting links works. On the contrary copy and pasting entire copyrighted stories is against the rules.

Wilner as always comes through with historical references...turning down the ESPN offer was catastrophic.
I actually think Chip Kelly's idea is the most common sense approach I have read in a long time on these issues.

Ah, the Chipster. One 'em or hate 'em he usually has some pretty good opinions on things. With all the non-geographical, rivalry lost conference realignment going on, moving to a single national league broken down by area makes some sense.
And Lincoln Riley, he's a perfect arrogant match for U$C. He can't say anything that will make me like him or his team any less than I do.

Good articles. I thought about posting the Orem one yesterday.
I'm prone to getting way too emotional about Oregon, College sports and just sports in general. I get invested way more than what is probably healthy. But I'm not unique in this. I know I'm not alone.
I can't escape the feeling this season will have a dark cloud over it. The conference demise will be co-equal stories to the actual games. Teams will be distracted. There will be loss of focus. Things will be uncomfortable. There will be bad blood.
Hope I'm wrong, and just being a drama queen.

I truly don't know what to expect. There will be bad blood, I'm sure. I don't think this affects the kids that much, but you can bet fans will be engaged; sad year for sure, all for fucking greed!!!

I'm not a betting man, but I wonder if this last conference season will be the Beavers year? I'm not rooting for it but would be a fitting end. There'll certainly be some added motivation.
