Re: Deion Presser

Hilarious presser. Almost the whole thing reads as a comedy bit, from the "we knew everything that was coming" to the "teams are trying to beat me, not our team" to the funniest one of all "I don't shoot. I don't do that". Sorry, coach Neon, your entire career has been based of "shooting". At least he admitted that Oregon flat out kicked Colorado's ass.

Only athlete to play in both the Super Bowl AND World Series(played 9 seasons in MLB)...winning 2 Super Bowls...

Inducted into the football Hall of Fame for both college and the NFL...

Started his coaching career at the high school level and worked his way up...

Already helped generate millions of dollars for CU, businesses and the like...

Has been able to move the needle of college football off the worn treadmill of realignment, NIL, Transfer Portal, etc.

A LONG list of successes on and off the field...

I can only dream of being "full of shit" at that level.

Re: Deion Presser

we'll find out in the next several weeks whether or not Sanders can actually coach football. his team is demoralized and their glaring weaknesses exposed for all to see.
Ducks got embarrassed on national TV v UGA to start the season last year, but Lanning & staff pulled them back together and ran off eight consecutive Ws, including BYU, BruCru, and a come-from-behind in Pullman. are there any cattle to go with Sanders's big hat, or are the Buffs destined for 6-6 or worse?

coaching was less-than-impressive yesterday. had to know going in that the Ducks D-line would overwhelm. lowly Nebraska had eight sacks in Boulder. but I saw few-or-none adjustments from Deion or whoever his OC is. seldom rolled Shed out or created a rolling pocket. just let him stand in there and turn a manageable 2nd-down-and-5 into a 3rd-down-and-13. gave up on the run game in the first quarter. just kept trying and failing the same things over & over.

Stein installed some new stuff yesterday working the edges with the TEs, and it went well, both pass-catching and blocking for the run game. one more thing for our future opponents's D-coords to think about.

Me: Are you being forced to read what I post or are you making a choice to do so? If it is the latter, maybe change your choices?

Re: Deion Presser

The tone on here re Deion Sanders reflects what is posted elsewhere wherever people can comment. There are 2 distinct sides if you will...

1) Thinly disguised venom about what his W-L record will be; can he coach; his sunglasses, the media hype, etc.

2) Interesting turnaround of a program; brought a lot of attention to a school that has been irrelevant for a decade or more; give him a chance; his team's games have produced record setting TV viewing numbers, etc.

Note: Why do you think Fox is going to televise unranked, apparently overrated and "exposed" Colorado v USC this Saturday and not the "much better than Colorado" Oregon v Stanford, who are relegated to the Pac-12 Network???..and Sanders doesn't even play in the games. Huh?

Yet everyone knows Oregon got worse under Lanning last year right?

In Cristobal's last year Oregon beat Ohio State on the road; the UW, OSU and played for the Pac-12 Championship...and Oregon under Lanning who in 18 months has effectively run off some 50 Oregon players from a 10-4 team?

The Ducks were destroyed on the road against Georgia and choked MASSIVELY to end the season when they controlled their own destiny including inexcusable losses to OSU and the UW. Most everyone who watched the choke felt Lanning's coaching was a major factor.

Anyone remember his presser after the loss to Oregon State? He didn't accept responsibility at all in any measurable form...except some nonsense about coaches "growing" at the end...link below.

At least Deion "manned up" to getting their butts kicked vs "we will have to look at the film" wimpy Lanning.

Now all the Lanning excuses will come rolling in of which Sanders is held to a different standard in his first P5 head coaching position.

Anyway, time to go read about Oregon's glitzy new cleats that change colors with the temperature - maybe I can get a pair to match my Blenders sunglasses😎

I really don't know where to begin here. Buffs weren't "apparently overrated', they absolutely were overrated. There was never anything there to "expose"..it was all bullshit. Just because the media loves it's clicks doesn't mean the Colo/U$C game is going to be a great one to watch: I expect another Buffs loss, while Oregon will handily beat Stanford. Good chance Gameday will be in Seattle for the Ducks game there.tho.
You're constant bashing of Dan Lanning is getting tiresome: maybe become a "fan" of the Buffs?
As far as "massively choking" last year, did you ever play the game? We lost Bo and had no backup; our D was not what was carrying us, it was the O led by Bo.
The Buffs are in the rearview mirror, time to move on. Carry on your bromance with Deion on another site.

Re: Deion Presser

Im sorry but bringing up Mario Cristobal makes me want to to vomit. Lanning messed up at the end of the Beavis game I agree, but he will bring happiness and fame faster than MC could because his(MC) heart wasn't into Oregon. He and his wife spent more time in Fla than they did here when he was coach at Oregon. The only School DL would leave Oregon for is Bama, maybe. Mario USED Oregon as a salary increaser for Miami.
Right now The Ducks are 4-0 Lets see what happens at Washington.

Re: Deion Presser

Well said ORG. Looks like many fans have drunk copious amounts of the Neon Deion Kool-Aid, just like the media. Jim Jones would be proud.

I have no problem with Sanders, I think he is great for college football, and I love all the coverage, especially the hundreds (if not thousands) of You Tube videos blasting Dan Lanning and Oregon. A lot of hurt with those Neon Deion band waggoners after Oregon crushed the Buffalos. Lanning’s speech about clicks as opposed to wins was brilliant, the reaction from Sanders with “I keep receipts” You better get me know” “teams trying to beat me, not our team” and “I don’t shoot, I don’t do that” had me laughing hysterically. The one I laughed at the most was his statement that Dan Lanning is scared of him. Bullshit.

I am not saying Dieon is not a good coach (he may turn out to be) he does the most important aspect of being a college football coach: ability to attract highly rated players. Game planning, schemes, adjustments, etc are important, but without the Jimmies and Joes, none of that matters. Give Deion the 2022 Colorado roster, they probably go 0-12. Deion is also good at motivating 18–22-year-olds. He is a master at manipulating the media to get his message across and his players feed on that. If he stays at Colorado and continues to attract transfers and get high rated high school recruits, I could see them doing well in the BIG 12. He just needs to continue to be Neon Dione and do his thing and let the assistants do their jobs. After all, with his connections, the NIL $$ is going to attract players to Colorado.

Look, I get it, the networks are desperate for viewers and Sanders draws the viewers. He draws attention to his team and most importantly, himself. I cannot remember a bandwagon like this in my lifetime, maybe when Tiger Woods first started. The difference there is Tiger had the talent to back it up and he was not the one holding the reins.

Re: Deion Presser

#1 - I'm done with any further discussion on Deion.  He was a great athlete, whether a good or bad coach, we will find out over future games.  I get him, but don't like him.  I don't find any comparison between Oregon branded fashion and coach Prime.  One is driven by a broader University brand, and one is based solely on individual narcissism.  So please, no more Prime grade BS on this site ... go to a Buffs site to buy your Prime fix!

#2 - Enough of the Lanning bashing.  Yes, he has made mistakes.  I'm sure the vaunted Sabin made mistakes early in his career too (I happen to think the Aflack commercials are a current mistake for him, but I digress).  I didn't like the Fuskies or Beavis outcome either but that had coaching mistakes, poor (stupid) player decisions and dumb, bad luck.  To place it all on Lanning is blindly misguided grudge holding.

From my perspective Lanning is growing into a players coach.  Act as one, play as one, more forward as one.  Prime is just another attention seeking social media influencer, getting paid to be a coach.  Time will tell if that is otherwise.
