Cristobal does a Lanning and is upset by Georgia Tech!

All he had to do is take a knee...brought back memories of Lanning trying to do the unconventional against UW and OSU last season and losing both games. Of course Cristobal did it at Oregon too in a similar situation with CJ Verdell fighting for extra yards against Stanford; fumbling the ball and Oregon eventually loses a game they should have won.

Hopefully next Saturday common sense will prevail and the UO will take down the UW in Seattle🙏 yet big games still remain.

Just read that. Would rather have Lanning 10x more than Cristobal.

Same here...MC already had a lot of games as HC under his belt, while DL was in his first year. The Lanning bashing is getting on my nerves, and probably isn't gonna last much longer

Re: Cristobal does a Lanning and is upset by Georgia Tech!

Maybe someone can help me out here.

Recently a wannabe Trojan troll who subscribes to Canzano said - in a way that implied it was a clever insult - that people down there call our coach Lan Danning.

Last night, after the debacle, someone on social media posted “Cario Mristobal…”.

Apparently switching initials on names is a thing, but I have no idea what it means. This is far from the first time I’ve realized I’m too old and out of it to get something, but it IS the first time a quick Google search didn’t provide an explanation.

Does anyone know????

No clue, but intentional misspells signal immaturity to me.

Cane boards are blowing up.   Apparently the decision to run a play rather than to take the knee was so the back could hit the 100yd mark.

MC just ain’t a boss.  He is no CEO with the balls to make an unpopular decision.  Yeah, he’s a player’s coach, but what is it worth to be liked when you turn literal victories into losses?

Saban ran a pass play yesterday when three knees would have run the clock to zero.  So it just isn’t MC or Lanning who allows unforced errors to reach the huddle.

meet the Farkel Family. the twins, Simon & Garfarkel Farkel. and their neighbor, Ferd Berfel.

Ducks were gifted with one of these down in Tempe in 2000. the Sparkster stopped UO on 4th & goal; had only to run out the clock. Bruce Snyder handed the ball to a F tailback, who fumbled. next play Joey competed a TD pass to Justin Peelle with 27 secs left to tie the game.
Ducks won in 2OT when Sparkster lined up for an extra-point try, and then attempted a 2-pt conversion pass to Todd Heap. missed, and Oregon (w/o Mo Morris) escaped, 56-55.

I was actually in Autzen last year. Gonzalez was out. Ducks secondary was helpless. UO could have punted the ball to the Moose Lodge in Elmira, wouldn't have mattered. Penix would have got the Dawgs into FG range and won the game.
Bo was out; no idea if he was able to come back. Ducks O-line was blowing holes in the UW front. I've got no disagreement with the decision to go on 4th-&-1. the back slipped coming out of his cut; it was a failure of execution, not strategy.

the players will decide the game Saturday in Husky Stadium, not the coaches. but between now and then lower-tier media & message-boards will spoon plenty of chow-chow into those dishes.

I'll be there, tailgating w my UW friends. hope it's as epic as 2019. I'll bring back some of those little Urinal Ducks for everyone.

THAT one I’ve got to remember!

Good luck!  I’ve been there many games, a rough and raucous crowd for sure. Ducks can do this, need to play a tough but clean game and the D needs to pressure Penix like he’s the last hot taco in the truck.

U$C almost screwed the pooch last night when Caleb almost threw it to the hands of a defender for a pick 6, then proceeded to fumble, then kicker muffed the winning FG. Only to have their sorry ass win anyway in 3OT’s. Crazy is what crazy does.
