Re: Heisman discussion

His 78.3% passer rating is off the charts.

I.E. with Ducks;
Joey Harrington 54.7%
Marcus Mariota 66.8%
Justin Herbert 64%

The numbers speak for themselves.

While I saw him on the Heisman list to start the season, I honestly thought he deserved the mention, but figured he’d be more of a bridesmaid.

Besides keeping his stats up, the team continuing to win, will play a big role. Should it play a big role? Maybe a little, however that’s a different debate. keep winning, he probably will be the Heisman.

To be honest, I thought Penix through a lot better deep ball when they faced the Huskies. He hasn’t been consistent like Bo has though.

Give Bo another chance against Penix, and he very well might look like the better QB.

I never get that into awards. I sure do feel lucky to be able to watch at the very least a top Heisman candidate. Go Ducks!!!

Re: Heisman discussion

Bo is certainly playing well, and consistently. I haven’t watched much of the other candidates to fairly compare. But a winning team record is a reflection of the captain at the helm, so keep winning and he stays in consideration. Caleb is toast. Penix is inconsistent.  The rest of the serious contenders are on no-loss teams.

Win out, beat Penix and the Fuskies in the last PAC title game and the odds could be good.

Re: Heisman discussion

Yeah, I didn't think Bo would win the Heisman either.

But as the season goes along, I'm becoming a buyer. If he keeps up his efficiency and the Ducks go 11-1 and win the conference championship he might really be in "lock" territory. This season is just starting to feel a little "story-booky" to me.

Yes, I'm knocking on a gigantic piece of wood as I write this.

Good news is that the Titanic was made of steel, so no knocking there. Maybe a sturdy Viking ship?  They pillaged and won a lot of bloody battles …..

Re: Heisman discussion

I'm sure Bo would like to win the Natty more than the Heisman as every other quarterback would say. I too worry about injuries as they decide how a team winds up. Hopefully the medical staff and trainers Dan Lanning raves about will keep them on the field. I'm knocking on my head for good luck!! Win the last game of the season is all it takes! GO DUCKS!

Ah yes, nothing like a little pillaging to gird one's loins!
