Ducks vs Beavers still a possibility in 2024?!

Well after reading this article it certainly seems that the game COULD happen.

The money is there somewhere for Oregon to buyout or move one of its 4 non-conference games.

If I had to pick one as the least meaningful opponent...Idaho.

TT is a rematch; there is history with BSU and the trip to Hawaii is special unto itself and especially for players who have never been.

Poor OSU though...only 3 games scheduled at the moment.

I do hope at some point this rivalry can continue, but what I would say for this year is our schedule is brutal. Both tOSU andMichigan, with huskies at the end. Beavs will be tough, and will do all they can to win that game. Whatever the powers that be decide, but I would prefer to get this rivalry set up at the end of the season down the road.

Yes and another item....Ducks have 8 straight weeks without a bye in 2024. The only team in the BIG that has that type of schedule. Don't know if I want another team (OS) playing us that may be ranked next year out of the conference. As mentioned by ORG, the schedule is brutal and we have 2 games in the tundra in November!

Re: Ducks vs Beavers still a possibility in 2024?!

The unknown factor in all of this is what is going to happen to OSU's(and WSU) roster and coaching staff after this season?

Right now they have 3 games on the books...3 games!

Even if they get "millions of dollars" in their lawsuit...that won't necessarily buy quality opponents for their best players and coaches to stick around and wait for something better.

Short term looks like a train wreck...maybe long term will be better but I am not sure I want to play each year where the Ducks are "heavily favored."

Nor would I like it if OSU becomes one of those opponents who needs to play Oregon to help pay the bills and fund athletics.
