Welcome to The Duck Room. We're an old school Oregon Ducks fan site dedicated to our University of Oregon Ducks sports. This community is centered around sharing updates, news stories, and opinions, and thoughts related to Oregon Ducks sports.

One of the best things besides the great users we have on here is that The Duck Room is completely free. Always has been and always will be. Don't be shy as everyone can post your latest thoughts on the Ducks. Just see the few simple rules below.

1. Common sense community standards apply.
2. Posts of political nature of post that would lead to such matters do not belong here, there's a whole internet for that.
3. Fans of different teams are allowed here as are difference of options, however trolling is not tolerated.
4. We have to abide by copyright laws, which means quoting an articles story and posting links works. On the contrary copy and pasting entire copyrighted stories is against the rules.

    UW or SUC????

    I've gone back and forth on who to "root for" here.

    I despise each team with equal ferocity. A Mutt win will make SUC a non-ranked opponent and take all the lustre out of next week's game.( bad for sos)  A SUC win is bad for those who believe we will need to beat an undefeated Dog team in the CCG to reach the CFP.

    But how can any self-respecting Duck fan EVER root for UW to go undefeated??? I really can't decide who I prefer or even more importantly, which is better for the Ducks?
    It will be a great but...... nauseous game to watch.

    Opinions?

    I think a Dog dump would help the Ducks...might help them move up to #5 if they throttle Cal. SC would remain ranked and would provide the Ducks with wins over 3 ranked teams if they run the course. That is provided the wood rodents continue to win.
    Wow, I would not want to be a Beavers fan right now with only 3 games scheduled for next year. With that, a season's pass would be cheap! Also spending a wad on improving Reser has to hurt like hell and also not knowing if anyone will stick around!  Ouch!!

    I hate U$C, but I can never root for the dawgs, so I'll take a victory over Cal and then watch to see what happens. For the good of our SOS, we need the dawgs to win out. If we then do the same, and beat them in the PAC Champ game, that would probably be our best scenario for the CFP.

    OSU is really hurting. As you said, they borrowed a lot of money to finish Reser and upgrade their other programs. Maybe this lawsuit will give them a nice chunk of change, but that's only gonna last for a short time. It sucks to be them, but oh well...

    That's a good and tough question to answer.

    I've always disliked the Huskies more. That being said wouldn't having them win and then we stream roll them in the Pac championship rip their hearts out more?

    FL might have a point about getting USC ranked though. 

    I don't know.

    That says it all for me. I have been yelled at, sworn at, and spit at by fans for the 10+ games I have been in Husky stadium. Fortunately most of those wins! 😆

    Despise them both, but I cannot at ANY time root for a Dawg team.

    Looks like we're all in the same boat.

    A game like this all boils down to what's best for Oregon. And I don't think anyone has the answer as arguments for both results are valid.
