September 14 in Reser Stadium
By the number of articles I have read on this that have a comments section...the overwhelming number of OSU fans are not happy. Many feel it will be a massacre and is pointless.
Perhaps because UO fans can read the tone of OSU commentary, they are more muted in their thoughts about it resuming.
A common thought(anti-Duck) is why support a game that basically makes Oregon look like the savior of the series by reworking their schedule when they chose to leave the conference, etc.
One particular comment stood out to me that I had not thought of...at neither school will the students be back on campus yet so the vibe at the game will be less than exciting.
Personally I would have preferred for Oregon to adjust to playing in the BIG and OSU to reinvent itself and perhaps in a few years sit down and discuss/decide if the series should be resumed.

I agree with your past post that keeping the game just for the sake of tradition doesn't make sense.
Same with the assumption that the beavs will drop off talent wise.
It makes sense from a logistics perspective though in that the last thing the Ducks want to do is trade games with a team from a far.
The big question is that some think the beavs will be a threat simply from how motivated they will be to beat the Ducks. My thought is the Ducks will be too and this won't be an issue. I suppose Boise State beat the Ducks 3 straight so maybe I shouldn't write them off?
The game should fill the stands more than say some team we've never heard of with the name "Loch Ness Monsters" or something along those lines.

I kind of like that thought. Play a Scot team; kilts, pole-toss allowed on RB’s for short yardage fourth-and-goal, etc. call it the Culloden Bowl.
