I don't know about the rest of you, but from someone who has watched every single Duck Bowl game from 89' Independance Bowl forward, I feel that in general Oregon does not perform particularly well in Bowl games.
Am I mistaken?
I'll admit my memory isn't the sharpest lol, but the last Bowl game I thought we played well was 14' Rose Bowl against FSU. I think our #1 performance ever was 01' (02'??) Fiesta Bowl against Colorado, a game I was fortunate to have attended. Most times, it's an ugly performance or squeaking out an ugly win. Maybe I'm just a glass-half-empty guy, but I usually end up feeling disappointed most years. I know there have been a few classics (Wisconsin Rose, Texas Holiday)...but still....
Our Bowl game last year against North Carolina was an absolute stinker except for pulling it out on the last play of the game. Granted we were without Dilly.
How is everybody feeling about The Fiesta Bowl? Will we dominate as we should, or will a fired-up Liberty give us a fight or possibly.... gasp!...win?
Lanning's last two big games where we had time to prepare (North Carolina and UW) the game plan and execution were um...not very good. I still haven't gotten over the P12 championship game. I mean where was the Oregon team we had watched the last 10 weeks? It's a WTF moment I can't shake or reconcile.
Anyway, I'll stop blabbering. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE play well tomorrow Oregon.

I haven't been around for the early years and don't always remember all the history of the Ducks of yesteryear. It sounds like you're on to something though.
This team seems different in a lot of ways. Considering Bo and so many other draft picks are playing I think they'll be very motivated to win at the very least.
Liberty is just in a different league physically and it's hard to see them competing.
I'm wrong all the time and Liberty is undefeated and that's why they play the game of course.
I haven't gotten over the P12 loss either. The way they came out with no energy made you wonder if something was going on in the locker room? Considering all the team playing in the bowl game they probably just got overconfident and went into a state of shock with the way the Huskies came out. Even after all that Bo threw that very uncharacteristic pick. They nearly won so many other ways, but didn't. This years losses are so haunting.
My thoughts going into the game are more along the lines will Austin get to play at QB for any meaningful amount of time?
Go Ducks!

Yeah. I'm so happy Bo and most guys are playing. By and large, I'm confident and excited for a fun and entertaining game. Their offense could create some challenges for our defense, but like you say our talent advantage should win the day. If it doesn't.......oy vay!!!!
Yes, I too hope to see Novasad, Kasper, Dickey, Limar etc.....
I'm getting excited!! DUCKS BABY!!!!

I’m hoping Bo and Bucky will be fired up to lead the team in an efficient offensive game and the D will feed off that and play tough. Some of the let down in bowl games of recent is that you miss “the big one” and have no drive. I think Lanning is beyond that.
