Tez returning, and T Ferg, and some others; edit 1/6

I believe Coach Lanning is building a solid culture here; so many kids from other teams in bowl games opted out, which is fine, but how cool to see Bo, Bucky, Bassa, Dorlus, etc, come back and play in a game against Liberty Biberty. With Tez back, Holden looking real good, and several young studs ready for their debut, Gabriel is gonna have a lot of weapons, and our D is, I believe, going to continue to improve.

Completely agree on the “Lanning culture”.  Players relate to him, he gets fired up in the locker room and pre game, but seems calm and controlled on the sideline.

There certainly was some due criticism on a couple of “gutsy/questionable/analytics?/foolish?” play calls in key games, but I believe he has grown from those. Last year clearly first-year coach blunders. This year pulling all the stops to win. I can live with that as some of those you win, some you don’t. Risk taking is part of the game unless you are Nick Saban, maybe.

2024 season bodes well to be another solid year, B1G and all.

GO DUCKS !!

Yeah, Coach Lanning has made his share of mistakes, but it seems he learns from them. For just finishing his second year as a head coach, I think overall he's done pretty good. Gonna be interesting next year. Onward!!!

Every coach makes mistakes, as do players, A coach has to make hundreds of decisions in a game, many on the fly, perfection is impossible. Some people cannot accept that, sitting on your couch criticizing is easy. I believe Lanning uses his gut and confidence in his players to make the plays. Players love that when coaches show that type of confidence.
The two playoff games are good examples of people questioning play calling decisions late in the game by both losing teams in games they could have won. Was it the actual plays or player execution, or a combination of both? That is football.

The news just keeps getting awesomer and awesomer! 😄

Agree with all the Lanning comments. I really like the guy and so do his players. A young coach will make some mistakes and LEARN from them. I'm confident he will.

I've said before and it bears repeating......I still can't figure out what happened in the P12 championship game. It's not that we lost. I can accept that. I just didn't recognize the team that ran out on the field that night. Plenty of blame to go around, but to me, I just can't escape the nagging and gnawing feeling the coaching staff didn't have the guys ready to play for whatever reason. Oregon seemed like they were just going through the motions. It was shocking and it haunts me. It seemed like UW wanted it waaaay more than us!!!! How can that be?????

Sorry to be so dramatic. I can be prone to being a drama queen at times lol, but it's one thing that gives me just the tiniest bit of concern about Lanning and more specifically Stein in my eyes.

I'll not mention this again, Too depressing.

I have to agree, DB, they just didn't look ready, and the huskies were. I didn't care for all the passing to start, and it seemed to me Bucky was just too dinged up. He missed several holes and kept cutting back, right into the defense. One thing there, the huskies have always stressed defense, while the Ducks were known for their offense. CDL is getting there; future is bright, imo
